Addison Wiggin

Addison Wiggin is founder and executive publisher of Agora Financial LLC, an independent economic forecasting and financial research firm. He and Bill Bonner began writing the firm’s flagship Daily Reckoning in the midst of the tech boom and bust. It was one of the first widely distributed email newsletters on the Internet. The publication’s critical eye on finance and economics continues today. He’s also creator and editorial director of Agora Financial’s daily missive The 5 Min. Forecast.

Addison is a three time best-selling author. He co-authored two international best-sellers Financial Reckoning Day and Empire of Debt with Bill Bonner. He has followed the fate of the world’s reserve currency through two other books: NYTimes best-seller Demise of the Dollar and The Little Book of the Shrinking Dollar in the John Wiley & Sons “Little Book” series. All of Addison’s books have been republished in subsequent editions and have been translated into a dozen languages.

Mr. Wiggin was executive producer and writer of the acclaimed documentary I.O.U.S.A., following an 18-month journey around the U.S., to Europe and China, covering the rise of America’s debt crisis. The film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, the 2009 Critics Choice Award for Best Documentary Feature and was also shortlisted for a 2009 Academy Award. He’s author of the film’s companion book, I.O.U.S.A. One Nation. In Debt. Under Stress.
